“No” is the customary answer we usually receive however; we are here to guide you through the process of selecting the perfect wines even if the budget is tight.
Perhaps a white with citrus notes that resonates like organ chords in a cathedral. The red with a mouthfeel of opulence, silk, purity and the Champagne with notes of candied lemons, white peaches, slate, and hazelnuts.
When selecting the perfect venue so much thought goes into how you will see and enjoy your wedding day, although the place is perfect their wine list selection may not be. Most venues offer ‘generic house wines’ with huge mark-ups, the wines are dull, inexpressive and certainly not worth the money they charge.
Do not be intimidated by “corkage”, this is the fee paid to the venue when bringing your own wines. It varies in cost per bottle and includes services such as storage, chilling, opening the wine and serving it to your guests. It can be possible to negotiate the costs with the venue.
However, even including corkage in your budget we can still offer a more sumptuous choice without going over budget. . .
If you are restricted to use the venues selection please do not despair as we offer a full consultancy service, where we will guide you on the wine list and pairings for the menus, the toasts and ultimately the perfect wines for your special day.
