We are constantly looking for new wine stocks and are keen to purchase full cases of top quality fine wine that has been well cellared. Odd bottles of especially rare wines are also of interest. Classed Growth Bordeaux wine is our main area of interest however we will consider buying wines from other countries/& regions. We offer two ways of purchasing your cellar:
Option One
Outright purchase. Depending on market conditions and the quality of your wine we will offer you an outright cash price. Payment will be made upon receipt of your wine.
Option Two
We are happy to sell your wine on your behalf. They will be advertised on our web site and we will offer your collection to all our contacts. Once the wines are sold we will deduct 10% commission – You receive 90% of the selling price.
Please send us the following:
- Please write a list of the wines you are interested in selling.
- Include all necessary information including producer, vintage, bottle size, and number of bottles/cases.
- We need to know the location of your wine. Is it stored under-bond or duty paid (in your own cellar)
- A Wine condition report is imperative were very old wines are involved.
- Label report - is the label damaged through dampness or it has been torn?
- Is the capsule damaged and is there any sign of seepage around the cork?
- Fill level (Ullage) of the wine. Is the wine below the neck, and if so, how far down the ‘shoulder’ it is?
However, we appreciate that this is a serious and time consuming exercise particularly when large collections are involved. If this is the case, please contact us and we will undertake a full assessment including photographs ourselves.
