24-11-10 - Neal Martin - Left bank Scores
The respected British critic, Neal Martin has released his "bottling" scores and tastings notes for the 2008 Bordeaux. Neal's opening scores were, as with many critics, conservative and certainly not as buoyant as Robert Parkers however, and interestingly, Neal's "bottling" scores are on the higher end of his opening score spreads and in some cases some Châteaux have even surpassed these.

There's no question that the 2008 Right Banks are special. Parker wrote (April 2010) "There actually may be some Pomerols and St.Emilions that eclipse what those châteaux did in 2009".

22-11-10 - The Inevitable Impact
Yesterday, we added Robert Parker’s 2009 Bordeaux report and scores to our web site, which makes for essential reading. In summary, Parker agrees with most by declaring the 2009 vintage as something rather special however, obviously lacking the consistency of the 2005’s. He goes on to state that “for some Médocs and Graves, 2009 may turn out to be the finest vintage I have tasted in 32 years of covering Bordeaux” and “the peaks of quality in 2009 may turn out to be historic”
